We talked about places other than YouTube where you can be using your animated explainer video pre roll last week and Facebook wasn’t one of them. But it might be, very soon.

Since December 2013, Facebook has been slowly rolling out video advertising with major brands. Now Facebook is thinking about going at it full throttle, evident when it made a deal with France’s largest advertising company, Publicis Groupe.

So what will Facebook video ads look like, besides living on Facebook newsfeeds, putting advertisers in front of Facebook’s highly engaged audience? Facebook video ads will be live in your newsfeed, will be 15 seconds long and engagement will be highly measurable.

Considering the fact that there were 186.1 million online video ad views just in April, if you have an animated video and aren’t creating pre rolls from them to repurpose your content and blast it across media platforms — maybe you should be.
